the barn

Located in the eastern Hudson Valley once home to the Wappinger, an Eastern-Algonquin speaking people that hunted, fished and farmed these lands before Dutch colonization in the 1700s. Crown Daisy sits on an old agricultural site with a large Dutch dairy barn built into the side of a hill in the early 1800s. Constructed with old-growth chestnut and oak timbers the barn has finally started to give way. We will repurpose the old wood and build something in its place that better suits our current agricultural needs.
